We are so happy and extremely glad you have chosen to visit us. Our Lady of Peace in Appomattox loves having guests. Though we are small, the number of families has doubled in the past four years. If you are looking for a warm, friendly place to worship, the people will embrace you in the Lord!
We are companions on the journey of faith and life. God has given each of us to one another. When one is down, we are called to lift up. When one is injured, we are called to heal. No one does it alone.
Regardless of where you have been or what your past may be, you are welcome here. Our church is a hospital for sinners, yet an opportunity for grace.
General Lee and General Grant (and first and foremost, the Holy Spirit) have left a spirit of peace here.

Our founders, twenty-five (plus) years ago, were called by the Holy Spirit to form a faith community in the name of "Peace," who is Christ and in the name of "Our Lady," who is Mary and Mother of God. Our founders nurtured and sustained the parish through the Eucharist as food for the journey.
We are a parish of approximately 76 families united in Christ and dedicated to living as Christ has taught: to love one another and to teach the word and service to those in need.
